Digital Remains
Ever wondered what will happen when the online, digital-camera toting generation dies? Where will all the shoeboxes of old yellowing photos be? What about our important (or not) documents? If they all exist only digitally who gets them? How can we control the process of passing this information on?
Its these questions and more that Michele Gauler attempts to answer for the RCA interaction degree… “Digital Remains is concerned with the role data plays when we remember deceased people. It assumes a world in which our data is stored on the network creating digital archives of generations of people.”
