    BMW starts podcast

In a co-production with Random House, BMW are making audiobooks available, free, every 2 weeks. I haven’t listened to one yet, but it’s an interesting extension of podcasting. What’s perhaps more interesting is to see how subtle they’ve ben with the product within the script - as it could be potentially cringe-worthy…

    The Whopperettes

Isn’t it completely obvious that people want to imagine eating women dressed as foods? Well, Burger King certainly did. Seems like a no-brainer when you really think about it…

    LED throwies

Quite simply, these are a beautiful way to affect your environment in a non-invasive / non-permanent way. Video after the link.

    Create your own Jackson Pollock…

This simple idea is the perfect example of a transparent interface. True, its far from complex, but its perhaps one of the few un-obtrusive Flash interfaces I’ve ever come across.

    A pity you can’t change colours though…

    MINI goes mobile gaming

An interesting foray into the world of mobile gaming from a brand perspective. Why advertise in a game (a la subway) when you can CREATE a game (as long as its compelling)? Let’s see if this one is…

    Conscience Consumption

AmEx has just released a card aimed at ‘Conscience Consumers’. Basically its a red-branded product where a (very, very, very small like only 1) % goes to AIDS charities. Read more here. And its soon to be followed by a red iPod for the same purpose.

So we can all salve our consciences by spending more money on ourselves rather than giving it to the people who truly need it.
It never ceases to amaze me just how resilient a system advanced-capitalism truly is.

    Fashion magazines go DVD

Apparently this is the first (?). Anyway its a decpetively simple idea, what with all the money spent on producing one series of images… Why not simply make a film??? Ok, much more post-production time, but hey… Oh, fucking horrible site BTW.
